Though I never finished the drama, this drama is daebak. For me and many of my friends, we weren't captivated by the first few episodes. It was good, but all the awesome stuff came later. After a few episodes, I was hooked. I would stay up all night, laughing and covering my mouth so my parents wouldn't hear me. The dad is so funny. All the characters are really complex and funny. The music is good for people like me that aren't too familiar with old-school KPOP. You also learn about Korea's history more. One ingenious part of the drama, which is also one of the most frustrating parts, is that we have to guess who the female lead, Na Jeong (played by Go Ara) will end up marrying. 

Synopsis:

Na Jeong's family is from Masan, or from the "countryside," but they own a boarding house in Seoul. All the boarders attend Yonsei University. Na Jeong is the daughter of the owners of the boarding house. She is an avid fan of Lee Sang Min, a university basketball player. She has a crush on Trash. Trash grew up with Na Jeong and is like her brother after the death of her real one. He is a genius medical student but is clumsy, dirty, and forgetful. He likes Na Jeong but denies it due to their brother-sister-like relationship. Chilbong is the star pitcher of Yonsei University. He likes Na Jeong. Though he is good at throwing the ball, he isn't doing too well academically. Unlike the other boarders, he is from Seoul. He is also Binggrae's (played by Baro of B1A4) cousin. Binggrae is from Goesan, and his family owns a farm. His father wants him to be a doctor, but he rebels by not going to school. He likes to sing. Haitai, who is from Suncheon, dated multiple people and likes girls with nice bodies, but isn't a player. He is one of Na Jeong's best friends. His father owns almost all the buses in Suncheon. Samcheonpo is the son of a fisherman, who looks like a forty year old man but is actually the youngest out of all the boarders. Yoon Jin, who is from Yeosu, is an avid fan of the famous band Seo Taiji and the Boys. She is the shortest of them all and hides her face behind her hair. She has one of the worse tempers out of all the boarders and curses a lot. This drama goes back in forth between 1994 and the present time. 

The writers are always playing us by introducing new ships. There is Team Chilbong, Team Trash, and recently in around episode 10-12, there is Team Haitai. There is also Team Trash and Binggrae. I personally like Team Chilbong. I love Trash so much, but he is better as a brother. Chilbong loves Na Jeong so much and had a one-sided love for 2 years. I like Team Trash and Binggrae as well. Trash takes really good care of Puppy (Binggrae).
